They were maki...When the time came to look for a house for our parents, Jay took on the challenge and the responsibility. They were making the move to Kingston as they needed to be closer to us for support due to growing health concerns. This was not an easy decision for them, so we wanted their place in Kingston to be as perfect as possible. Jay knew we needed a bungalow, relatively close to our place and the rest of my long list of must-haves. From the outset, Jay was focused on finding the right house for our parents, not just closing a deal, and selling us a house. He truly listened to what we liked and disliked about the various homes we toured. He offered options for new builds versus existing homes. He never pressured us to move beyond our budget. At the time we were looking, the market definitely favoured sellers and not buyers so he promptly suggested homes he thought would be suitable as soon as they came onto the market. Although the time from viewing the home to presenting an offer was a matter of hours, he made sure we were comfortable with our decision. There were no pressure or sales tactics. Before closing, he arranged for trips back to the home for contractors to tour through for renovations we had planned. After closing, he didn’t drop off the face of the earth. When our contractor bailed at the last minute, Jay came through again by using his contacts to find another contractor who has been amazing! It is apparent that this profession is relationship based to him, not transactional. Our previous real estate experience in Kingston with a different realtor many years ago was much different. We always felt there was an angle, and we were just a potential sale and money to be made. We were not at the centre of the process, it was the realtors working together to make a sale and if we were not represented properly in the process, so be it. We never felt like this with Jay. Throughout the process, ethics and honesty were always at the forefront of everything he did. But that is who Jay is; an honest, ethical person who listens and cares. He is also well-versed on the ins and outs of the real estate profession he consciously chose to be a part of. Without hesitation, we recommend future home buyers reach out to Jay Gazeley for their real estate needs!
